Impaint Carpet Collection
Impaint draws from the language of painting, but shifts its focus from image to surface.
Strokes are treated as units of time rather than expression. Each mark is placed, repeated, and allowed to accumulate, building a a quiet density across the field. What beings as a single stroke gradually dissolved into rhythm where paint is no longer read individually, but as a continuous presence.
The collection explored how repetition transforms gesture. A stroke loses it immediacy and gains weight. Paint settles, presses inward, and becomes embedded within the surface rather than resting on it. The result is not a composition to be viewed at once, but a surface that unfolds through closeness.
